Why does it cost so much more for tracked shipping?

We ship everything from our headquarters in the very north-eastern part of Norway. Our government and postal service (Posten Norge AS) don't care about catering to small businesses that export goods outside of the Norwegian border. Thus we have no inexpensive option for adding tracking to our packages.

Why did you stop offering PayPal as a payment option?

We currently offer payment via Stripe for credit cards and debit cards and Coinbase for cryptocurrencies.

From October 11th 2019, PayPal decided to no longer return the transaction fee (2.9% + 30¢) when a seller refunds a buyer’s payment. They also decided to raise their conversion fee from 2.5% to 3% for converting USD into a different currency (all of our sales need to be converted to NOK).

We think that fees should be reduced, not increased, and that PayPal were being unnecessarily greedy when they decided to start keeping the 2.9% in addition to the + 30¢ in fees whenever a refund is issued. In protest of these changes, we have now stopped accepting PayPal as a payment option.

However, if PayPal is the only payment option you have, we may be able to arrange a manual payment by request for a small extra fee to cover the extra costs.
